This book is about the journey of individuals to psychological wholeness or individuation. It starts with the stages of individuation by studying the ego and the Self and describes how the ego becomes aware of its dependence on the archetypal psyche. It talks about individuation as a way life and studies the Christian myth and how it relates to life in the world of today. Jung was very inclusive regarding the culture of humankind and its products including myth, religion, art, literature, and philosophy. The realization of the psyche in daily life can only be achieved by one individual at a time working throughout each individual life. Edinger makes these concepts understandable in a way that they can make an impact on daily life.
