James Hollis’ book Under Saturn’s Shadow sheds light on the dark myths that have wounded men’s souls. “If men are to heal, they must activate within what they did not receive from without,” Hollis writes. His book provides a vehicle for the group’s exploration of the wounding and the healing process for men.

Everyone is welcome in this study group.

Participants will need to purchase a copy of Under Saturn’s Shadow: The Wounding and Healing of Men by James Hollis. Amazon Smile benefits this Jung Society. A Zoom invitation will be sent the day of each session.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Participants will gain greater understanding of the social and cultural expectations placed on men.
  2. Participants will explore the power complex, a central force in men’s lives.
  3. Participants will examine cultural and personal role models of masculinity.
  4. Participants will utilize Hollis’ “7 Steps of Healing” in discussion of the healing process.

Bob Rosen, MSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families since 1990.
