These online study groups were devoted to study of Edinger’s thesis based on Jung’s concepts and ideas.

Participants needed to purchase a copy of The Eternal Drama: The Inner Meaning of Greek Mythology by Edward Edinger. When purchasing texts, note that Amazon Smile benefits this Jung Society.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will be able to describe the ways in which Greek mythology is pertinent to Jung’s idea of the transpersonal or archetypal psyche.
  2. Participants will gain an understanding of how the images of Greek deities continue to speak with us as we listen to their stories.
  3. Participants will understand how Greek mythology influenced Western culture, and therefore Western psychology.
  4. Participants will understand the ways in which terms such as anima, animus, psyche, and individuation are demonstrated in the stories in Greek mythology.
