This presentation of Jung and Art Therapy will focus on the book Jungian Art Therapy by Nora Swan-Foster. It will be explained how Jung’s concepts can be applied to art therapy, using art materials as a way for people to visually express and explore their creative unconscious. The significance of symbols and archetypes in art therapy will be explained to highlight Jung’s theories on universal images.
The presentation will include an art experiential of making Mandalas. Carl Jung believed drawing mandalas can help integrate conflicting parts of the psych and bring harmony to act as a medium for healing.
