Winter 2012 Study Group

Winter 2012 – The image below is from “The Meaning of Mary Magdalene” study group presented by Sandy Cooper, centered on the similarly titled book by Cynthia Bourgeault, Episcopal priest, scholar and contemplative. This group was remarkable from the outset for the energy that flowed among the participants. An excerpt from the book: “In the Gospel of Philip, as in the gospels of Thomas and Mary Magdalene, the backdrop against which everything else unfolds is the quest for the anthropos, the ‘completed human being’. . . . The imaginal realm is real, and through it you will never be separated from any one or anything you have ever loved, for love is the ground in which you live and move and have your being. This is the message that Mary Magdalene has perennially to bring.”
